OUR MISSION
Silverbackz Athletics Association seeks to teach every student-athlete the discipline required to build Christian character, develop a sense of community, and to foster excellence in education, teamwork, and leadership through athletics and events. Brokenness exists in every area of life, including sport. We believe there is a remedy to the brokenness of the world in the gospel of Jesus. Athletes are hurting both personally and as part of sport-culture. SAA wants to get them to a place of comfort in the atmosphere of healing through athletics.
OUR FOUCUS
We believe in winning on and off the court. SAA in snot just about gaining skills and abilities for worldly achievements but developing God-like character to become productive adults. 2 Corinthians 4:16-18 says, "Therefore, we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day. For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us as eternal glory that far outweighs them all. So, we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, which, what is unseen is eternal through Jesus Christ."
OUR GOAL
Having an attitude marked by joy is a choice that we can make regardless of the circumstances brought on by sport. This means choosing to let your relationship with God drive your joy. This brings glory to God by showing him—and others—that your attitude is grounded in something beyond the outcome of a game. Choosing a joyful attitude helps your mental health, keeps you focused on the goodness of God, and gives you opportunities.
To use sports as a powerful tool to reach, inspire, and disciple individuals by promoting teamwork, discipline, integrity, and faith, while creating opportunities for personal and spiritual growth through athletic engagement.
DSAA (DISTRICT SILVERBACKZ ATHLETIC ASSOCIATION) will donate 5% training fee to supply funds for our new program to take students to college visits, athletic events, training scholarships, mission trips, and more!! Thank you for your support.

We aim to foster personal growth, teamwork, and leadership while helping players improve their basketball IQ, fundamentals, and athletic performance. Our goal is to inspire a passion for the game of basketball, promote physical fitness, and instill the values of respect, hard work, and perseverance, both on and off the court."
Read and React basketball drills are a fundamental part of developing a player's ability to make quick decisions and respond effectively during a game. These drills emphasize basketball IQ, reaction time, and decision-making skills under pressure. The goal is to create scenarios that simulate actual game situations, allowing players to improve their ability to think and act quickly, rather than relying on predetermined actions.
Defensive recovery in basketball refers to the ability of a player to quickly transition from offense to defense, particularly after a missed shot, turnover, or fast-break situation. It’s an essential skill that helps teams prevent easy baskets and maintain strong defensive positioning. Effective defensive recovery involves both physical conditioning and mental awareness, and it's critical in minimizing fast-break opportunities for the opposing team.
