Our Mission
The mission of the Mississippi Rankin County Elite Silverbackz Travel Basketball Team is to develop disciplined, skilled, and high-character student-athletes through elite basketball training, competitive exposure, and strong mentorship. We are committed to preparing our players to succeed on the court, in the classroom, and in life.
Our program focuses on:
- Player Development – Teaching sound fundamentals, advanced skill development, basketball IQ, and position-specific training.
- Character & Leadership – Building accountability, discipline, confidence, teamwork, and respect through the game of basketball.
- Exposure & Opportunity – Providing competitive travel tournaments, recruiting exposure, live-stream coverage, and access to college and prep opportunities.
- Family & Community – Representing Rankin County and the state of Mississippi with pride, unity, and professionalism.
- Work Ethic & Culture – Embracing the Silverbackz mindset of Desire it. Devote it. Display it.

- The Prep Hoops Circuit — one of the largest independent grassroots basketball circuits in the country. It gives teams and players a way to compete in organized events and tournaments that attract college coaches and scouts without being tied to the major “shoe” circuits like Nike EYBL. Prep Hoops
- Media & Coverage — Prep Hoops also operates as a media outlet covering high school, grassroots, and club basketball with articles, rankings, player profiles, scores, and event results. Prep Hoops
